An Abundance of Educational Resources: One Location

Having trouble creating a rubric for an assignment? The University of Wisconsin-Stout website probably has one for you. If not they probably have something that you can adapt to suit your needs. If you are looking for new ways to implement technology into your classroom, this website probably has a few good ideas you can use as well. Maybe you want to find a new method of assessment for your students. You are in luck, the University of Wisconsin-Stout website has that covered as well.

The “Educational Resources” portion of the University of Wisonsin-Stout website has a great deal of information that can help any teacher. There are multiple rubrics that can be used in a dozen different categories. As a future business teacher I was disappointed to find that there were no rubrics specifically related to business education. But, I am sure with a little work many of their rubrics could be adjusted to suit my needs. Click on their assessment link and you are whisked away to a page full of articles covering a variety of assessment strategies. The curriculum link is a page full of links to pages full of useful information for teachers such as libraries, lesson plans, quizzes, and other educational information. Also on their website Wisconsin-Stout provides a “Technology Tips e-newsletter.” There are currently 47 archived newsletters dating back to 2008 covering many topics relating to integrating technology into the classroom.

If you are a teacher and you are searching the web for helpful information, the University of Wisconsin-Stout website probably has a useful article, rubric, or link to lead you to what you are looking for. As a future teacher this is a resource that I will be adding to my bookmarks. I would encourage any teacher or aspiring teacher to explore what this website has to offer.

  1. I like it! What a great resource. I've always had trouble creating rubrics and am always open for new assessment tools. It is great to know that there is such a vast online resource tool to help teachers explore new tools and get out of a teaching "rut" they may be falling into.

  2. Hey that is a really great website you found. It will be extremely helpful being as I am not a great lesson plan maker now. Having help with these rubrics will be so much help, I felt instantly relieved after visiting the site. I also like the amount of different assessment strategies they have and discussed. I even get sick of having the same lame testing techniques. Thanks for sharing.
